My Story

Thomas is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the State of New Jersey, a Board Certified-TeleMental Health provider (BC-TMH), and a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP). He earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Centenary University and brings experience across outpatient, partial hospitalization, and early intervention settings.

Thomas provides trauma-informed care through the utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based practices. He completed IFS Level 1 training through the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion within the Cambridge Health Alliance and is currently pursuing advanced Level 2 training and IFS Certification. His approach integrates evidence-based mindfulness, compassion, and parts-based interventions to support emotional regulation, resilience, healing, and the development of Self-leadership.

Thomas also brings a neurodiversity-informed perspective to his work. As a clinician with lived experience of autism, he has a nuanced understanding of sensory sensitivity, social communication differences, and the internal experience of anxiety, masking, and cognitive overload. This lens integrates with his work in telehealth and compassion fatigue, allowing him to effectively support clients navigating burnout, chronic stress, and high-responsibility roles in both in-person and virtual settings. His approach emphasizes clarity, emotional regulation, and sustainable coping, helping clients better understand their internal experiences while building practical, durable skills for daily life.
