My Story
Sharon earned her Master of Arts in School Counseling from The College of New Jersey and is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in New Jersey. Clients often describe Sharon as grounded, empathetic, and collaborative, sharing that they feel deeply heard and supported as they navigate life’s transitions and challenges.
Sharon’s work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with a person-centered foundation and a trauma-informed lens. Sessions are conversational, strengths-based, and validating, with an emphasis on creating a safe, predictable environment where clients can build emotional regulation and resilience. Drawing on her extensive background as a Professional School Counselor and her Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC) certification, she has a unique expertise in supporting individuals through developmental milestones, substance awareness, and the complexities of social-emotional growth while remaining sensitive to the impact of past experiences.
Sharon views the therapeutic relationship as a partnership and actively welcomes feedback to ensure the process remains aligned with each client's unique needs. She is committed to cultural humility and brings a wealth of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering an environment where every perspective is respected and valued.
Sharon’s primary goal is to provide a space where authenticity is the priority. She encourages clients to show up exactly as they are, providing a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere where they can work toward a life that feels balanced, purposeful, and true to themselves.
