Mary earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and Bachelor's in Neuroscience from Rutgers University. Mary is an EMDR trained therapist who combined approach includes CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, trauma-informed healing, mindfulness-based practice, and person-centered psychotherapy.

 

Mary understands that our past experiences shape our expectations of ourselves and of the world. Sometimes a way of being in the world that was working well, no longer works for us or causes more harm than good. Her aim is to build a collaborative relationship where together she and her clients develop new ways of being, bring compassion to parts of self that carry a lot of weight, and integrate new tools into existing strength. Mary partners with people to find ways to be more loving with themselves, others, and the world around.

In addition to clinical practice, Mary is a public speaker, developing and facilitating community education workshops for providers and community members on culturally responsive, trauma informed care. Mary also provides clinical supervision to emerging clinicians with a heart for the treatment of trauma in psychotherapy practice.
