My Story
Janet earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and completed her undergraduate degree at Middlebury College. Before becoming a therapist, she spent more than 20 years in the corporate world, giving her firsthand understanding of the pressures of demanding careers, workplace stress, and burnout.
She works with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or at a crossroads in life. Many of her clients are balancing high expectations, professional responsibilities, and the quiet question of how to care for themselves while managing it all.
Janet takes an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), existential, and family systems perspectives. She is also trained in EMDR and incorporates mindfulness-based practices to help clients process difficult experiences and develop healthier patterns.
As a first-generation Taiwanese American who has lived in the United States, Asia, and Europe, Janet brings a culturally informed and globally aware perspective to her work. She also has training in holistic practices such as Reiki and Qigong, reflecting her belief that healing often involves reconnecting mind, body, and spirit.
She approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and a touch of humor, believing that life doesn’t come with a user’s manual and that meaningful change often begins with feeling understood.
